DENTAL IMPLANTS

Dental implants are used to replace teeth that have been lost due to trauma, gum disease, excessive wear and tear, and decay.  They can be used to create new teeth in areas where teeth never erupted.  Dental implants are used in conjunction with other procedures like crowns, bridges, and dentures.  Implants provide greater stability than these procedures alone.  An additional benefit to dental implants is their ability to preserve the bone in the area of the tooth loss.  This allows patients to maintain their natural profile and provides greater support for the adjacent teeth and the new implant crown, attached bridge, or denture.
